Shallow Ridge Exotics is an Avian & Sulcata Tortoise Rescue dedicated to giving animals in need a safe place to heal, recover, and thrive. Every animal that comes into our care has a story. Some arrive because their families can no longer provide for them, while others need additional care, rehabilitation, or a more suitable environment. Whatever brought them to us, our goal is the same to provide compassionate, responsible care based on the individual needs of each animal.
Our avian rescue provides birds with proper care, enrichment, socialization, and time to adjust. Birds that are ready for adoption may be listed on Petfinder and matched with appropriate homes.
Not every bird is placed for adoption. Some remain with Shallow Ridge Exotics as sanctuary residents when long-term care is the best option for their individual needs.
Our Sulcata tortoises receive species-appropriate care, proper nutrition, outdoor space, natural sunlight, and enrichment. Because of their long lifespan and large size, the Sulcatas we accept become long-term sanctuary residents and remain with Shallow Ridge Exotics for lifelong care.
