Eli's Story
Meet Eli
Eli came to Shallow Ridge Exotics as a newborn from a breeder, and it was clear from the very beginning that he faced unique challenges. Due to a severe deformity in his leg and foot, Eli was unable to walk properly and was later diagnosed with a club foot. Over the years, Eli has endured many medical trials and a long road to recovery. Through patience, specialized care, and determination, he has made remarkable progress. While he still requires caution and ongoing monitoring, Eli can now stand and perch on his own.
Because of his special medical needs, Eli has become a permanent resident of the Shallow Ridge Exotics Sanctuary, where he receives the care and support he needs to thrive. Despite his challenges, Eli is full of life and enjoys many of the same activities as other birds. He loves to fly, watch the world outside, and spend time outdoors when temperatures are comfortable and safe for him.
Eli reminds us that even the smallest lives can overcome incredible challenges when they are given the care, support, and love they deserve.
